August Meeting Highlights

Junior Bulldogs Meeting Recap – 8/25/25

Welcome – Purpose of Junior Bulldogs

The Junior Bulldogs program fosters community, teamwork, and school spirit by providing sports opportunities for kindergarten through 6th grade students at University Schools.

We help organize youth sports teams so University students can play together, building connections and friendships that grow stronger as they move into middle and high school athletics.

Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for students to participate in athletic activities through school-based camps and programs that align with University’s high school athletic teams.

    • We used an interest form to gather interested players for these sports in an effort to place them on a “Bulldogs” team.

    • The challenge was finding enough coaches to volunteer for the number of interested student athletes.

    • Teams were formed through Greeley Rec priority registrations period as coaches volunteered

    • Revamping process for our Winter sports through Greeley Rec, to first find coaches and then offer the team code assigned by Greeley Rec on a first come/first serve basis as it becomes available

  • Winter Teams

    • Coaches recruited first (4 volunteers)

    • Registration codes posted once coaches are secured

    • First come, first served sign-ups

    • All signups, league play is through Greeley Rec

    • The mission of Junior Bulldogs is to help communicate available teams to our students who are interested in joining so that we can form “Bulldog” teams driving teamwork, community, and friendships.
